| Today I had one of the best days I've had in a while. Ironic, that this is a day I had been dreading for some time now, AP test &&all that. Yet, finishing the test and going home to relax, making a smoothie, having some overdue phone conversations, and studying for tomorrow's exam gave me this odd sense of purpose, accomplishment, and freedom all at the same time. Perhaps its because I haven't felt that way in a while. Perhaps it's because life's been so volatile that having a whole afternoon with nowhere to go and nothing important to "present" to a teacher or judge was novel. Or maybe I'm just recovering from last week.
In the past week I
- Drove 28hrs there and back to florida.
- Saw Spiderman 3 two nights in a row (even though it wasn't that good)
- Ate at Cracker Barrell and McDonalds more times than I wanted to
- Had the worst (statistically) debate tournament of my life
- Got 2nd in Extemp
- Laughed
- Cried
- Enjoyed the company of good friends
- Studied.studied.studied.
- Read the Economist for pleasure (not for need-to-know)
- Finally caught up on 24
And that, my friends, is that.

"do they collide?"
i ask and you smile.
with my feet on the dash
the world doesn't matter.
when you feel embarrassed [then i'll be your pride]
when you need directions [then i'll be the guide]
for all time

I thought I'd write, I thought I'd let you know
In the year since you've been gone I've finally let you go
And I hope you find some time to drop a note
But if you won't
Then you won't
And I. I. will. consider you. gone. |
